Some eagle eyed people have noticed<\/a> that the opening scene of I Am Legend<\/strong><\/a> – in which a scientist played by Emma Thompson<\/a> declares there is a cure for cancer – has a visual reference to a game between the New York Giants<\/a> and the New England Patriots<\/a>.<\/p>\n After this weekend’s NFL play offs<\/a> the Giants and Patriots will indeed be facing each other in the Super Bowl<\/a> next month. Some comments over at Digg<\/a> have correctly noted that the scene is set in 2009 but, despite being a year off, the coincidence is still a bit spooky.<\/p>\n UPDATE: On the subject of the Giants-Packers game<\/a> it seems Eddie Murphy<\/a> predicted it 20 years ago in Coming to America <\/a>\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
