After watching David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button for the first time, there was something about Alexandre Desplat’s score that stayed with me.
I wasn’t sure exactly what this was until reading that the score contains musicalย palindromes: many of the themes can be played backwards, which mirrors the central story of a man ageing in reverse.
